Hey Conejo!
The time has finally come for the first annual Conejo Quidditch match.
WHEN? This Saturday, January 3rd at 3PM
WHERE? Arroyo West Park (next to Arroyo West, obviously)
WHAT DO I NEED? A broomstick, a few dollars (like three or four) to help pay for supplies, any and all Harry Potter paraphernalia, and your game face.
BE THERE.
Also, I feel like we need our own team name, seperate from the Moorpark Mandrakes. I'm thinking the Conejo Centaurs? Curses? Cauldrons? Chocolate Frogs? Thoughts, please.

BILL NIGHT
Ho-la, Cone-jo!
I hope you all had a spectacular weekend/Monday. I for one am absolutely exhausted/TOTALLY STOKED FOR BILL NIGHT! A few reminders:
- Drop-off for Silent Auction baskets will be tomorrow, Tuesday, between 6:30 & 7:30 in Pat's room. Please make sure someone in your group is assigned to bring your items. If you have no way of getting there, let me know by tonight or early tomorrow afternoon & I can pick them up. We won't be taking any items after tomorrow night, so be sure to bring them so we can make mucho dinero!
- Make sure you're preparing your speeches for Wednesday. If you have any any any any any questions or concerns, or just need someone to proofread, don't hesitate to talk to me or one of the other officers! We love to help! Feel free to e-mail, call or text me whenever, and I'll be glad to help in any way that I can.
- On Wednesday, report to the fountain at the Reagan Library by 4:15. You should be dressed in Sac attire (if you're not sure what this means, check out http://calymca.org/y&g/delegateguide/dresscode.html ), and be sure to eat dinner before you come! Also, don't forget your name badges from Bob. We'll be giving you cute little nametags to put into them, so don't forget! Returners, kindly bring any extra badge-holders from past conferences.
I love you all and I'm super-excited for Wednesday!
Love love love,
Jesse

BOB ONE ABSENCES
Hi everyone!
Please don't forget to turn in your handwritten note excusing you from school on Monday. If you don't hand it in by tomorrow, it will be recorded as a truancy =[.
The signed note needs to include your name, the date (Monday, October 10th) & that you were attending Youth & Government. Once again, tomorrow, Thurday, is the FINAL DEADLINE to turn these in to the attendance office!
Also, make sure you're inviting people to Bill Night! If you need copies of the invitations, please let me know. Also, all delegates must RSVP for their families, so we can get an accurate headcount. You can e-mail your response and numbers to bill.night08@gmail.com
Thank you all so much, and we'll see you tomorrow!

BOB ONE & BILL NIGHT
First of all, I would like to say I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU to all of you. This weekend was absolutely amazing. After six Youth & Government conferences, I really didn't think Y&G could get any better, but you all really proved me wrong. For those of you who couldn't make it, we missed you SO much, and you were there in our hearts and minds. CONGRATULATIONS to Alex Peterson (Statewide Chaplain), Bonnie Vivatnamongkon & Rachel Axelrad (Committee Chairs). These positions are all very challenging and prestigious, and I know you'll be amazing! Also, Sergio Calix made us all incredibly proud this weekend-- his speech and answers at the Meet The Candidate session were truly inspiring, and I know we're all so glad he's part of our delegation. Great job Sergio!
Now that Bob 1 is past us, Bill Night is only two weeks away! Make sure you're inviting lots of people! For those of you bringing Silent Auction items, please bring them to Thursday's meeting, or to Pat's room on Tuesday, November 18th between 6:30 & 7:30. On the day of Bill Night, please report to the front of the Ronald Reagan Library (by the fountain) by 4:15, so we can get set up and ready. Also, be researching your bills and preparing your speeches! You should know who your speakers and sponsors are, so please begin preparing (if you don't remember, contact Roxanne). I have a really good feeling about this event, and I think it's going to be amazing!
On a completely random and seperate note, the statewide Y&G people are creating a new & improved calymca.org, and they'd like our help! Please submit (you can just respond to me and I'll get them where they need to go) a few sentences on "How Has Y&G Impacted Your Life?" I'm sure this will come with little difficulty, especially after this amazing weekend. Make them good, because they will feature some on the new Y&G website! Woo!
Lovelovelove you all.
